Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
The procedure is developed to improve the shape of the tummy and to remove the excess lardaceous tissue and skin and to tighten the muscles. It is suitable for men and women with disproportionate tummy.
It is carried out under general anaesthesia. At least 24-hour-stay at the hospital is advisable. During the recovery period a flow, hyperaesthesia, stupor of the tummy skin, bruises and general weakness are possible. Some or all of the symptoms may last for a couple of weeks and then will disappear.
The tummy should remain smooth and plain for many years unless the patient puts on a lot or gets pregnant. When some years have passed, due to the natural aging process and gravitation, a second intervention in order to improve the line of the body may be necessary.
